Such a simple recipe, using wholesome, nutrient-dense, healthy fat ingredients that will tantalise your tastebuds and keep you satiated. Something you can whip up in minutes and have to hand in a sealed container for whenever needed. My children love them as they are soft and puff beautifully. You could add your own spices for a title twist. I suggest using a strong mature cheddar but you could use any other hard cheese.



  • Mature cheddar cheese (100g)
  • grated cauliflower (100g)
  • egg (2 large)
  • ground almonds (50g)
  • fresh chives, chopped (2 tsp)
  • cayenne (optional) (pinch)


Preheat oven to 180c.
In to a mixing bowl, combine all your ingredients.
Mix together and you should have a thick batter. Spoon in to a 2lb loaf tin (well greased) and place in oven for approximately 10 minutes until slightly puffed up and cooked through.
Cut in to squares and enjoy!
