A delicious, simple, flavour packed side dish. Perfect for serving alongside a curry, stew, cottage pie or adding to the top of a nourishing soup.


  • green beans, trimmed (400g)
  • harissa spice, ground (2 tbsp)
  • whole garlic cloves, peeled
  • olive oil (2 tbsp)


Preheat oven to 180C
Make sure your green beans are washed and the ends are trimmed
Pop in a mixing bowl and add the whole garlic, harissa spice and olive oil. Toss until fully covered
Spread the beans and garlic out on to a lined baking sheet and pop in the oven for approximately 20 minutes (shaking the tray half way through) until the beans are roasted and browning and the garlic soft
