This may sound like an unusual recipe, but believe us, once roasted in the oven, the kale leaves turn into crispy flakes that are almost identical to the texture of traditional crisps. Add a little salt and pepper and you're in for a treat!


  • Kale (200g)
  • Coconut oil or olive oil (2-3 tbsp)
  • Salt and pepper (To taste)


Toss the kale in oil. Spread out on a sheet of non stick paper and place in the oven at gas
mark 4 (180 degrees Celsius). Keep checking on it after about 10 minutes, it's important
that while you do want them crispy, not to let them burn. Cooking time is normally
around 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
