Sides

I love this bread because it is both full of goodness and really simple to make. If you like our cheese fondu recipe - this works brilliantly with it and its also acts as an awesome side to our Primal Pate. As with all Primal and Keto breads, cut it as thinly as possible.

Ingredients

  • Almond Flour (270g)
  • Mixed Seeds (160g)
  • Chia Seeds (80g)
  • Eggs
  • Baking Powder (1 1/2 tsp)
  • Nutmeg (1/2 tsp)

Method

Turn the oven to 200 degrees C

In a bowl, mix all ingredients together. Next, beat 3 eggs, pour into bowl and then add 250ml of cold water. Then mix it all together with your hands until you have a dough like substance. I use my pate tin to put it into. Make sure you fully grease it with butter, otherwise you will never get it out!!

Now it doesn't rise like normal bread therefore the mixture should sit about 1 to 2cm below the rim, if you have more left over, then also make a pitta bread alongside (although do take it out of the oven far sooner).

Next sprinkle around 15g of sesame seed onto the top and place in the oven for about an hour. I tend to put it in for 30 minutes uncovered and then cover for the following 30 minutes.

To see if it's ready, a trick I learnt from Emma Porter is to put a metal skewer into it and if when you pull it out it is clear, its fully cooked on the inside.

Tip: For the mixed seeds I buy mine from Sainsburys that contains, flax, sunflower seed, sesame and goji berries.
