These bars are simple, sweet, sticky and come with the perfect crunch. To make our Primal bars you'll only need four essential ingredients. However, feel free to add whatever bits and bobs you may fancy. Personally, we wanted a recipe that was very simple and quick to put together but still delivered a sweet and nutty taste.
Ingredients
Granola bars
- Flaked almonds (95g)
- Almonds (150g)
- Mixed seeds (3 tbsp)
- Raw honey (105g)
- Vanilla pod (1 tbsp)
- Salt (1/2 tsp)
Method
Begin by preheating your oven to gas mark 3 (160 degrees Celsius).
In a bowl add together all of your ingredients and mix together until everything has
combined. This may take a good few minutes for the honey to work it's way around.
Pour the granola mix into a greased baking tray (we use a little coconut oil to grease
our tray) and evenly press the granola down so it's packed in tight. Pop into the oven
to bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked, remove from the oven and leave to cool completely. This is important
otherwise you will not be able to cut the granola bars without it crumbling.
DO NOT CUT WARM!
Once cool, remove, cut your bars pop into an airtight container where they will last
for up to a week. These make the perfect snack for those peckish times!
