When it comes to sleep, I consider it to be one of the most important factors of our lives. Not only does sleep aid our body in its recovery from our daily activities, but it also helps protect our mental health, physical health and all in all, leads to a long and healthy, happy life. If you've been struggling to sleep recently and have been feeling the knock-on effect then this Primal Turmeric Sleep Shot may just become your new best friend. I think we all know the value of getting a decent night's sleep, but when we don't, the first thing we shouldn't be doing is running to the local chemist for a dose of sleeping pills. Instead, it's time to go back to basics with the amazing ingredients Mother Nature created for us. This recipe is simple. Fact. - Grated ginger (1 tbsp)
- Black pepper (Pinch)
- Fresh chilli (Pinch)
- Raw honey (1 tbsp)
- Coconut water (1 1/2 cups)
- Juice of lemon
- Ground turmeric (1 tsp)
- Grated carrot (60g)
- Coconut oil (1 tsp)
In a blender, add all of your ingredients and blend everything together until you have no large
chunks. You should end up with 'bits' almost like fresh orange juice.
Once blended, pour the mixture into a large container to keep refrigerated and every evening,
pour a shot's worth into a shot glass, throw it back and reap the benefits.
Lately, I've been making this Turmeric Sleep Shot at the beginning of the week and enjoying a shot every
